About this role
🔧 Diagnose, service, and repair passenger vehicles, light trucks, and commercial equipment in a busy rural shop.
🚚 Perform mechanical inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trucks and semi-trucks as required.
🚜 Work on farm equipment and other off-road machinery when assigned.
🛞 Install, balance, rotate, and repair tires for a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
📋 Complete accurate work orders, inspection reports, and service documentation.
🚦 Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
🤝 Communicate clearly with service staff and customers about repairs, timing, and parts needs.
🔍 Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify worn, damaged, or unsafe components.

Requirements
🚗 Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are required for this remote-community location.
⏳ 4 years experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, ideally with mixed fleet and heavy-duty equipment.
🛠️ Strong working knowledge of cars, trucks, semi-trucks, and farm equipment.
👀 Ability to diagnose issues accurately and complete repairs efficiently.
💪 Comfortable lifting, bending, standing, and working in a hands-on shop environment.
🤝 Good customer service and teamwork skills.
🎓 Automotive service training, trade certification, or equivalent experience is preferred.
📞 English communication skills sufficient to follow repair instructions and explain service recommendations.

Permanent full-time position, with a standard probationary period and scheduled shifts in a rural shop environment.
Benefits
Competitive hourly wage, regular full-time hours, shop-based work, and extended medical/dental after 3 months of employment at 50-50 with insurance liability at the employees cost.
