Food manufacturing equipment mechanic/repairer

About this role

  • ๐Ÿ’ป Ensure that existing equipment stays operational while new equipment is brought in and set up for planned upgrades.
    ๐Ÿ”ง Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plant machinery used in food manufacturing and noodle production.

  • ๐Ÿšฆ Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment to reduce downtime and support safe operations.

  • ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Adjust, align, lubricate, and replace worn parts on production machines, conveyors, and related systems.

  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Record maintenance work, breakdowns, parts usage, and equipment issues accurately and on time.

  • โœ… Test repaired equipment to confirm proper function and production readiness before returning it to service.

  • ๐Ÿค Coordinate with machine operators and production staff to identify problems and schedule repairs with minimal disruption.

  • ๐Ÿงผ Follow sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety procedures when working around processing equipment.

  • ๐Ÿ“ฆ Assist with ordering, tracking, and organizing spare parts and maintenance supplies as needed.
    ๐Ÿค Other duties that apply

Requirements

  • ๐Ÿ”ง Minimum 2 years of experience operating and some experience maintaining industrial machinery in a food manufacturing or processing environment.

  • โณ Prior machine operator experience in a production setting is preferred, especially with food processing equipment.

  • ๐ŸŽ“ A degree in computer hardware or certificate in machining or related education for understanding computer operated machinery is an asset

  • ๐Ÿ’ป Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with pumps, motors, conveyors, and packaging equipment.

  • ๐Ÿšฆ Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, workplace safety, and food plant sanitation standards.

  • ๐Ÿค Ability to work independently, communicate clearly with production teams, and respond to urgent breakdowns.

  • ๐Ÿ‘€ Good attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift, stand, and work around production machinery.
