About this role

  • Are you passionate about cooking and looking for a place to flex your skills and creativity? The Grizzly Paw is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to join our team as our newest Back of the House colleague. We’re looking for someone who can bring energy, fresh ideas, and a bit of swagger to the line as they dive into all things culinary.

    If you’re up for the challenge, here’s what you’ll be expected to rock in your role:

    Manage your station like a pro and show off those knife skills...as long as you have a cut glove that is :)

    Make meals for those that have dietary constraints so they can have a great meal too
    Manage grill, sauté, fry, and other station duties during busy service periods.
    Assist in cleaning and maintenance of equipment/kitchen as well as ware washing
    Assist with prep work, set-up, and closing duties as assigned by the kitchen lead or chef.
    Creatively capture the Grizzly Paw spirit in everything you do, from prepping our secret sauces to engaging with your colleagues in a professional manner
    Collaborate with various teams to create a seamless experience across the board (our team is fun, easy-going, and dedicated—working with them is a perk on its own!)
    Follow food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling procedures at all times.
    Receive, rotate, and store ingredients properly to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
    Uphold our commitment to environmental responsibility and follow safety standards (because we love our mountains and our planet)
    And, of course, be open to other duties as they arise to help other team members in the kitchen

Requirements

  • A strong background in all things restaurant is an asset
    Hands-on experience in either a quick casual or upscale dining establishment is an asset
    Proven ability to connect with others and the ability to give and receive feedback
    Excellent communication and attention to detail (plus a sense of humor)
    Punctuality, adaptability, and confidence to thrive behind the scenes
    Team player and can transfer skills to newbees
    Be willing to work from time to time at our other location when needed at the Pub which is 622 Main St.
