Grounds Maintenance Worker and Grass Cutter

About this role

  • ๐ŸŒฑ Mow lawns, trim edges, and complete grass cutting to maintain a clean, professional appearance on client properties.

  • ๐Ÿ”ง Operate and care for lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related tools.

  • ๐Ÿšฆ Follow safe work practices while working around vehicles, pedestrians, slopes, and changing outdoor conditions.

  • ๐Ÿงน Perform general grounds maintenance tasks including debris removal, cleanup, and site tidying.

  • ๐Ÿค Work with experienced crew members to learn proper lawn care techniques and help transfer skills to new team members.

  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily routes and seasonal assignments.

  • ๐Ÿ‘€ Inspect turf and work areas for missed spots, hazards, or issues that need attention before leaving a site.

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Communicate politely with supervisors, coworkers, and customers to support efficient service delivery.
    ๐Ÿ’ช Other duties as required to ensure the job is completed safely and people are trained properly.

Requirements

  • ๐ŸŒพ at least 1 year of experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance is required

  • ๐Ÿ’ช Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.

  • ๐Ÿ”ง Comfort using or learning to use common grass cutting and grounds maintenance equipment safely.

  • ๐Ÿš— Reliable transportation to the workplace in Carp, Ontario, or ability to report as scheduled.

  • ๐Ÿค Willingness to work as part of a crew and support training of newer workers.

  • ๐Ÿ‘€ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, safety, and customer service.

  • ๐Ÿ•’ Availability to work seasonally from May through August for approximately 120 days.

Terms of employment
