About this role
๐ฝ๏ธ Prepare and cook Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes, including wraps, grilled items, and complete meals, following house recipes and portion standards.
๐ง Season, marinate, and finish menu items to ensure consistent flavour, appearance, and quality.
๐ฆ Monitor food stock, rotate inventory, and requisition ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed.
๐ฆ Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area in accordance with sanitation and safe food-handling practices.
๐ฅ Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during busy service periods.
๐งผ Wash, sanitize, and store tools, equipment, and work surfaces throughout the shift.
๐ Assist with menu preparation, daily production planning, and estimating food requirements.
๐ Inspect food and kitchen areas regularly to help ensure quality control and compliance with standards.
Requirements
๐ Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is preferred.
โณ 1 to 2 years of cook or kitchen experience, ideally in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
๐ฅ Experience with Lebanese, Middle Eastern, or halal food preparation is an asset.
๐งฏ Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe equipment use.
๐ค Ability to work well with a small team and communicate clearly during busy shifts.
๐ช Capable of standing for long periods and handling the physical demands of kitchen work.
๐ Good attention to detail, consistency, and time management.
๐ฃ๏ธ English communication skills sufficient for kitchen coordination and following instructions.
