Food Service Supervisor

Prince George, British Columbia Full Time $22 – $23/hr 73 applicants

About this role

  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food to serve to guests.

  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.

  • Establish work schedules and ensure staff follow procedures.

  • Maintain records of stock, sales and wastage and report to management.

  • Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures and ensure skill transfer to new employees.

  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and corporate brand standards.

  • Deal with cash, opening and closing procedures with accuracy.

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues as required.

  • Maintain a climate relationship between team members.

  • May have to take customer orders from customers and perform duties of Food Counter attendant when required.

Requirements

  • 🎓 Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent is an asset.

  • ⏳ 1 year of supervisory experience or several years of fast food/restaurants is required.

  • 🤝 Strong leadership, communication, and team-coaching skills.

  • 👀 Ability to stay organized and keep calm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • 💻 Basic computer and point-of-sale system knowledge is an asset.

  • 🚦 Understanding of food safety, cleanliness, and workplace health and safety practices.

  • 💪 Willingness to stand for long periods, lift moderate supplies, and work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
