Roofing Foreman

About this role

  • 🏗️ Supervise day-to-day sloped roofing crews on residential and light commercial projects.

  • 🚦 Enforce safe work practices, fall protection, and site housekeeping at all times.

  • 📋 Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed to quality standards and timelines.

  • 🔧 Oversee tear-offs, re-roofing, flashing, ventilation, and shingle installation work.

  • 🤝 Coordinate with project managers, customers, and suppliers to keep jobs moving smoothly.

  • 👀 Inspect completed roofing work for accuracy, workmanship, and warranty readiness.

  • 🛠️ Help train and mentor crew members on proper roofing methods and equipment use.

  • 📊 Track labour, materials, and job-site issues and report updates to management.

Requirements

  • ⏳ Minimum 2 years of experience in sloped roofing, including crew leadership or foreman duties.

  • 🎓 Strong knowledge of roofing systems, shingles, underlayment, flashing, and ventilation.

  • 🚦 Proven commitment to job-site safety and compliance with fall protection requirements.

  • 🤝 Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate clearly with crew members and clients.

  • 💪 Physically able to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.

  • 🚗 Reliable transportation and willingness to move to Winnipeg, Manitoba for the position.

  • 👀 Good attention to detail and the ability to solve problems on the job.

Terms of employment

Permanent full-time position based in Winnipeg, MB. Standard schedule is 40 hours per week with regular overtime as required by project demands.
