About this role
🏗️ Measure, cut, and install ceramic, porcelain, and stone tile in residential renovation projects.
📏 Prepare and level surfaces by cleaning, patching, and applying underlayment as required.
🧱 Mix and apply mortar, adhesive, grout, and sealants to manufacturer specifications.
🛠️ Install other types of floorings such as Hardwood and Vinal when required.🔧 Use hand and power tools to cut tile around corners, fixtures, and custom layouts.
✅ Inspect finished work for alignment, spacing, and surface quality to meet project standards.
🚦 Follow site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
🤝 Coordinate with supervisors, carpenters, and other trades to complete jobs on schedule.
📝 Track materials used and report any shortages, defects, or installation issues.
Requirements
🎓 Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is an asset
⏳ 3-5 years of tile installation or related construction experience is required💪 Ability to lift materials, stand for long periods, and work in physically demanding conditions.
🛠️ Comfortable using tile-cutting tools, trowels, levels, and measuring equipment.
👀 Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate finishes.
🤝 Good communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented work style.
🚗 Reliable transportation to various job sites in the Ajax and Durham Region area is an asset.
🧤 Willingness to follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
