About this role
π³ Prepare and cook menu items according to resort recipes, quality standards, and guest service timelines.
π₯ Assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner service by coordinating station prep and maintaining smooth kitchen workflow.
π§Ό Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
π¦ Receive, store, and rotate food inventory to support accurate stock control and reduce waste.
π₯ Monitor cooking equipment, temperatures, and holding conditions to ensure food is prepared safely and consistently.
π€ Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members to support daily resort operations.
π Follow special guest requests, dietary restrictions, and menu instructions with care and attention to detail.
π² Adapt to a seasonal resort environment in northern Ontario and contribute to a positive guest experience.
π€ Other duties as required when necessary
Requirements
π at least 1 year cooking experience is required
β³ Ability to relocate from April to November in Sioux Narrows, Ontario annually.
π§Ό Knowledge of safe food handling practices and kitchen sanitation standards.
πͺ Ability to work standing for long periods and handle the physical demands of a busy resort kitchen.
π€ Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills in a fast-paced setting.
π Attention to detail when preparing dishes, following recipes, and maintaining consistency.
Safe Food handling certificate an asset and willing to obtain it if you do not have it.π Reliable transportation or ability to relocate to the resort location for the season.
π£οΈ English language proficiency sufficient to work safely and communicate clearly with the team.
