Commercial Roofing Foreman

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan Full Time $36.00 – $47.00/hr

About this role

👷 Lead, supervise, and mentor roofing crews to ensure safe, productive, and efficient job site operations.

🏗️ Coordinate and oversee the installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, SBS, modified bitumen, metal roofing, and other roofing applications.

📋 Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule.

📦 Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to minimize delays and maximize efficiency.

🔍 Conduct regular inspections to ensure roofing installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, building codes, and client requirements.

⚠️ Enforce all safety policies, fall protection requirements, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture on every job site.

🤝 Act as the primary on-site liaison between field crews, project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients.

📈 Monitor project progress and communicate updates, challenges, labour requirements, and material needs to management.

🛠️ Troubleshoot technical issues, identify solutions, and ensure work is completed correctly the first time.

📝 Complete daily reports, safety documentation, timesheets, and other project-related records accurately and on time.

🚧 Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, professional, and compliant with company standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead roofing crews to complete commercial roofing projects safely and efficiently

  • Install and oversee roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR, SBS, and metal

  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all company and OSHA/CSA safety standards

  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and job‑site logistics

  • Inspect work quality and ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications

  • Communicate with project managers regarding progress, issues, and scheduling

  • Train and mentor crew members to improve skill and productivity

  • Document daily reports including labor, materials, and job‑site conditions

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years commercial roofing experience with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of roofing systems including membrane, metal, and built‑up

  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical specifications

  • Proficient with roofing tools and equipment including lifts and safety gear

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
