Core Requirements

  • Experience in commercial roofing — Typically 3+ years of hands‑on experience.

  • Knowledge of roofing systems — Ability to install and repair TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal, bitumen, and built‑up systems.

  • Blueprint reading — Ability to interpret diagrams, drawings, and technical specifications.

  • Tool proficiency — Skilled with roofing tools, hand tools, and equipment such as boom lifts and scissor lifts.

  • Safety training — Understanding OSHA or equivalent safety guidelines and completing site‑specific safety orientations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at heights — No fear of heights; comfortable working on steep or flat roofs.

  • Physical stamina — Lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and working outdoors in all weather.

  • Manual dexterity — Precision in cutting, fastening, and aligning materials.

Additional Qualifications

  • Attention to detail — Ensuring watertight seals and proper installation.

  • Math skills — Calculating measurements, material quantities, and cost estimates.
