About this role
👧 Provide attentive day-to-day care and supervision for two school-aged children, ages 9 and 14, in a safe and supportive home environment.
🍽️ Prepare breakfast, lunch, supper, and snacks according to household routines and the children’s needs.
🧹 Perform light housekeeping duties including tidying living areas, washing dishes, laundry, and maintaining overall home cleanliness.
🧺 Keep children’s rooms, clothing, and commonly used spaces organized and in good order.
🗓️ Support daily schedules such as school drop-off/pick-up, homework time, and after-school routines as required.
🛒 Assist with household errands and basic shopping related to meals and daily upkeep.
🛏️ Help with bedtime routines and ensure the home remains calm, clean, and well maintained.
📋 Communicate respectfully with the family about children’s needs, meal planning, and any household concerns.

Requirements
🤝 Experience caring for children in a home setting, preferably school-aged children.
🍳 Ability to cook simple, nutritious meals and follow household instructions.
🩹 First Aid certification completed
🌙 Able to work split shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and as required
✅ References required and must be bondable
🧼 Comfortable performing routine cleaning and general daily upkeep tasks.
👀 Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a consistent work ethic.
🗣️ Good communication skills and a respectful, family-oriented approach.
⏱️ Ability to manage time independently and follow a daily routine without close supervision.
🚗 Asset: valid driver’s licence and access to transportation for errands or school-related activities.
