About this role
Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth service.
Supervise, coach, and motivate team members to deliver friendly, efficient customer service.
Assist with scheduling, labour management, and shift coverage to meet business needs.
Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards to maintain A&W brand expectations.
Help enforce health, safety, sanitation, and workplace policies throughout the restaurant.
Uphold brand standards at all times and transfer this to other team members that are not compliant.Coordinate inventory counts, ordering, and receiving to keep key supplies stocked.
Resolve guest concerns in a professional manner and support positive guest experiences.
Assist with cash handling, reporting, and daily operational paperwork as required.
Support opening and closing procedures, equipment checks, and general restaurant readiness.
Complete duties of those that you supervise when required and other duties that apply.
Requirements
Secondary school diploma or equivalent is an asset; post-secondary training in hospitality or management is also an asset.
3 years of experience in food service, including supervisory experience or 1 year of management is required.
Strong communication and team leadership skills with the ability to build a positive work environment.
Proven attention to detail and commitment to consistent service, cleanliness, and quality standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment and stand for extended periods.
Experience handling scheduling, cash procedures, inventory, and basic restaurant operations.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and available for varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
