Food service supervisor

About this role

  • ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Supervise and coordinate the daily work of front-line restaurant team members during busy service periods.

  • ๐Ÿ” Oversee food preparation, order assembly, and counter service to help maintain speed, accuracy, and consistency.

  • โœ… Monitor product quality, portioning, and presentation to support A&W standards.

  • ๐Ÿšฆ Keep service flowing by assigning stations, balancing breaks, and responding quickly to line-ups or rushes.

  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Train new staff on routines, safety practices, customer service expectations, and restaurant procedures.

  • ๐Ÿงผ Support cleanliness and sanitation standards across food prep, service, and guest areas.

  • ๐Ÿ’ต Assist with cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-shift balancing as required.

  • ๐Ÿ“Š Communicate staffing, supply, and operational concerns to management to help the restaurant run smoothly.
    ๐Ÿ“ Other duties that apply as well as work in the role that you supervisor if required.

Requirements

  • โณ3 years of experience in food service, quick service, or a similar supervisory environment or 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant.

  • ๐ŸŽ“ Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is an asset.

  • ๐Ÿค Strong leadership and team coordination skills in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

  • ๐Ÿ‘€ Good attention to detail for food quality, cleanliness, and customer orders.

  • ๐Ÿ’ช Ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a busy kitchen environment.

  • ๐Ÿ’ป Comfortable using POS systems, scheduling tools, and basic workplace communication systems.

  • ๐Ÿ•’ Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • ๐Ÿ“ Reliability, punctuality, and a customer-first attitude are essential.
