About this role
🐟 Handle, sort, and move fish and seafood products safely throughout the plant.
🧼 Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and processing surfaces to maintain food safety standards.
📦 Assist with packing, labelling, and preparing products for storage or shipment.
🔍 Inspect product for quality, defects, and proper handling during processing steps.
🚦 Follow workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
🔧 Support basic operation and setup of plant equipment as directed by supervisors.
🤝 Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production targets.
📋 Report equipment issues, product concerns, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements
💪 Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and work in a fast-paced, cold or wet environment.
🎓 No formal education required; secondary school is an asset.
⏳ Experience in fish processing or general labour is an asset, but willing to train the right candidate.
👀 Strong attention to detail when handling food products and following instructions.
🤝 Ability to work well with others and follow directions from supervisors.
🚦 Commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and good hygiene practices.
🗣️ Ability to communicate in English.

Terms of employment
Full-time permanent position with a probationary period. Shift work may be required based on production needs.
